RF & Wireless Development

Custom RF front-end design, antenna selection, wireless protocol integration, and FCC pre-compliance testing for connected products built to work reliably in real environments.

Wireless is where otherwise well-designed products fail. RF performance depends on antenna placement, stackup, ground plane geometry, enclosure materials, and everything else on the board. If the link budget is not part of the design from day one, you find out at the range test, after the enclosure is tooled.

We have shipped RF through a sealed machined-aluminum remote enclosure, reverse-engineered an existing control protocol to keep backward compatibility, and held sleep current in the microamps on battery products. We choose the protocol from your range, power, latency, and regulatory numbers.

We also run FCC pre-compliance before you tool anything, because an emissions failure after tooling is a very expensive way to learn about a slot antenna you did not know you had.

Deliverables

  • Protocol selection and architecture (Wi-Fi, BLE, Sub-GHz, proprietary RF)
  • RF front-end PCB design and layout
  • Antenna design and selection
  • RF matching network design
  • IoT connectivity integration (MQTT, CoAP, HTTP)
  • Wireless firmware and stack integration
  • FCC pre-compliance test plan and support
  • Range and link budget analysis

Bring Us In When

  • Your product needs Wi-Fi or BLE and nobody on the team owns RF
  • An industrial sensor has to hold a link at range, reliably
  • Audio has to move over the air without dropouts
  • An existing design has range or reliability problems nobody can explain
  • FCC pre-compliance or certification is coming up

Range Problems, Sealed Enclosures, Noisy Boards?

Tell us the range target, the enclosure material, and the regulatory path. We will tell you what will bite first and how to design around it.
